La Envia Golf is situated on the slopes of Sierra de Gádor with excellent views of the Bay of Almería and is surrounded by an oasis of native palms and shrubs.  The layout has been designed for players who want to enjoy a pleasant round of golf rather than one fraught with difficulty and complications.  It is not too long and there is no rough.  However some holes do offer up more of a challenge, for example the 9th, a par four of 377 metres and the 365 metre 14th amongst others.  The par five 4th hole at first sight appears straightforward and two shots should be enough to reach the approach.  However, a brilliant third is needed if a birdie is to be secured as the green has been designed in the shape of a volcano.  The 17th and 18th greens are also tricky.
