Characteristics
Morgado Golf Course is located between Portimão and Monchique, in one of the beautiful and often unknown valleys of the Algarve interior. It is an open course with the characteristics of a links field – with flat fairways and Scottish-inspired bunkers – but instead of being by the sea like the traditional “links” , is inserted in a “parkland” zone. The length of the course is attenuated by the generous width of the fairways. However, the less successful blows can be penalised by one of the many bunkers spread across the field. Surrounded by the traditional tree species of the region, such as citrus and olive trees, in the Morgado the player comes into contact with a calm and serene Algarve, with the heart of this region that has so much to give.
