Originally opened in 2008 and designed by Ron Kirby, the Salobre Golf New Course (North Course) is a bold, unconventional layout carved into the volcanic terrain of southern Gran Canaria. Extensively renovated in 2012, 2018, and 2022 by David Williams, this course now forms part of a 27-hole complex, offering a rugged, high-elevation experience that’s unlike anything else on the island. With dramatic doglegs, steep ravines, and panoramic views, it’s a technical and visual thrill ride for adventurous golfers.

Course Highlights

• 9 holes (formerly 18), par 36, with plans integrated into Salobre’s 27-hole loop system
• Designed to navigate extreme elevation changes and volcanic rock formations
• Buggies are essential due to steep terrain and long transitions between holes

• Hole 3 – par-4 with cliffside fairway and blind approach
• Hole 6 – par-3 with dramatic drop and crater views
• Hole 9 – par-5 finale with narrow landing zones and elevated green
